2005 Hyundai Sonata InformationClick here to go back to our 2002-05 Sonata accessories Hyundai's Sonata has decidedly upscale looks and content without a price to match. This mid-level gem is also a car to consider when you want small monthly payments but not a small car. Extensively revised a few years ago, Sonata continues to be available in three versions for 2005: GL; GLS; and LX. By spring, however, a brand new Sonata will hit the streets. Until then, even starter models arrive loaded with side-impact airbags, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt steering, six-speaker audio system with CD player, power windows, locks and mirrors and keyless entry. As with all Hyundai products, the Sonata features a five-year or 60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty. The Sonata, which is mechanically similar to the Kia Optima (Hyundai owns Kia), comes with a 138-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder or a 170-horsepower 2.7-liter V6, while a five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed automatic handles the shifting. The automatic includes Hyundai's Shiftronic function that allows clutchless manual gear selection. For a great deal on a new or used 2005 Hyundai Sonata go to Gary Rome Hyundai. |
